Valencia Has experience with various types of owners
New Valencia coach Javi Gracia is well versed in working at clubs where the hierarchy like to be involved in the day-to-day footballing aspects of the team.
During his time in Greece and at Malaga, Rubin Kazan and Watford, he has had worked with owners from all kinds of backgrounds, all of whom have had their own eccentricities.
This is his latest post where he’ll work with owners who enjoy being involved in the sporting side of the club and, over the years, the Pamplona-born coach has learnt to respect such decisions and work together with the club’s majority shareholders.
There were many names in the hat for the Valencia hot seat, but with several not convincing club owner Peter Lim, Gracia came out on top.
He has many attributes which appeal to Lim as he has international experience in Greece, Russia and England and knows LaLiga well and speaks English.
Yet what makes him stand out to mais his experience working at clubs with similar owners or ownership structures.
