Carlos Martinez paid a touching tribute for the late Michael Robinson ahead of the first match of LaLiga Santander’s return at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan.

Robinson, who finished his playing days in Spain with Osasuna and stayed in the country to become a beloved football pundit, passed away in April.

“We’re going to miss Michael,” Martinez began.

“Today and in each one of our matches that we have ahead of us in our careers because Michael has always been with us.

“But he would want us to return as normal as possible and that’s what we’re going to try to do from now on in order to relay to him the emotions of a football match we were all waiting for.”
