LaLiga's virtual crowd mocked on social media: It looks like confetti

The return of LaLiga Santander was complete with a virtual crowd at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan as Sevilla faced Real Betis.

Those watching on TV in Spain and around the world were able to see virtual fans fill the stands in the stadium using graphics from FIFA 20.

However, this addition was met with some criticism on social media, with some viewers complaining about the quality of the graphics.

“It looks like confetti,” one user said on Twitter.

Others compared it to the pixelated crowd graphics from football video games in the past as well as the TV series ‘Black Mirror’.
