Valencia visit the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano on Thursday with a host of players who used to be regulars at Real Madrid’s makeshift home.

Dani Parejo, Rodrigo Moreno, Denis Cheryshev and Ruben Sobrino came through the ranks at Real Madrid and played at the Valdebebas ground with Castilla.

The current Valencia captain was at Real Madrid until 2009 before moving to Getafe, and was approved by the great Alfredo Di Stefano himself who always felt he would make it to the first team.

In the 2007/08 campaign, Parejo played 17 games and scored five goals at the Di Stefano.

Rodrigo joined Los Blancos’ U19s in 2009 from Celta Vigo, and showed his massive potential from the beginning.

Four goals in five games saw him moved up to the B team the following season where he scored five times, all of which came at the Di Stefano.

Cheryshev played in all of Real Madrid’s youth categories. In the C team he scored two goals before netting 12 for the B side at Valdebebas.

Ruben Sobrino is the fourth Valencia squad member who played for Real Madrid’s youth ranks and knows Vadebebas well.

The 28-year-old was part of La Fabrica between 2011 and 2014 where he played between the U19 side and Castilla, scoring three goals at the Di Stefano.
