Real Madrid Mallorca defeat was his last appearance

James Rodriguez goes eight months without playing in LaLiga Santander

James Rodriguez has now gone eight months without an appearance in LaLiga Santander for Real Madrid.

The Colombian last played in the league for Los Blancos on October 19 in their 1-0 defeat at Real Mallorca.

That night saw James feature alongside several other squad players as Zinedine Zidane rested players ahead of the midweek trip to play Galatasaray in the Champions League.

That was James’ seventh league appearance of the season for Real Madrid, starting four of them and scoring one goal.

Now he has the chance to add to his 341 minutes in LaLiga Santander this season, although he’s been left on the bench for Los Blancos’ first two games back.
