The Cleveland Cavaliers have ‘very strong’ desire to re-sign Tristan Thompson, per Sam Amico of Sports Illustrated.

Thompson is a free agent, as his five-year contract with Cleveland expired.

Although Thompson is expected to attract a lot of interest from other teams, the Cavaliers want to re-sign him and keep him with the team.

Thompson has spent his entire career in Cleveland. He averaged 12.0 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists in the 2019/20 season.
