Willian has turned down a big offer from MLS, but has two solid offers from Premier League teams, according to his agent Kia Joorabchian.
The Chelsea man will make a decision on his future “after the last game of the season”, according to Joorabchian. That could be almost a month away if Chelsea manage to upset the odds and get past Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Frank Lampard’s men are 3-0 down though heading to Munich next month, and could well be eliminated and therefore their season could be over by August 8.
Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham have all been linked with the 31-year-old in recent months with all three apparently keen on a free-transfer deal.
Willian is out of contract this summer and chasing a three-year deal at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea though are only offering two years and the Brazilian looks likely to move on.
However, Sky Sports claimed Chelsea were close to a breakthrough with the player earlier this week.
Asked to discuss the winger’s current situation at Stamford Bridge, Joorabchian denied any U-turn and told talkSPORT: “I don’t think he’s done a U-turn or any kind of turn. He’s always been very much the same mode.
“We had big offers – one from MLS which required him to move on July 1 – but he’s always wanted to finish the season at Chelsea and the day after the season has finished he would decide.
“He has two concrete offers from Premier League clubs on the table, an offer from an MLS club, and two other offers from Europe.
“He is going to make his decision after the last game of the season.”
Lampard keen for Willian to stay
Willian has featured heavily under Lampard this season with 47 appearances and he looks set to start in the FA Cup final against Arsenal after recovering from an Achilles problem.
Lampard has already made it clear that he wants Willian to extend his stay in west London.
“When you think of Willian and his situation, the impact he is having in all the games at the minute with his speed and how he controls the ball and his quality which we all see in every game, I am so pleased with him,” Lampard said earlier this month.
“He has been brilliant for us with both of those things and Willian deserves huge credit.”
